Ямайский культовый ди-джей и певец, blackman-альбинос, пик популярности - 80-е. По мнению многих критиков сильно повлиявший на становление мирового хип-хопа. 

Для меня Yellowman стал самым ярким исполнителем рэгги, его исполнение узнается с первой секунды, и порой я проводил дни в прослушивании его альбомов. Всегда задается вопрос а почему именно он? Ответить на него не так то просто. Порой тягучие песнопения затягивают и потом когда полностью погружаешься в это состояние вдруг начинаешь поражаться мелодизму  вокала, иронии текстов, расстановке акцентов..... видимо это уже другое измерение.. Попробуйте!

Для Ямайки он стал в одно время музыкальным лидером, проповедником, народным певцом, если хотите. 

В 1986 году Yellowman боролся с раком челюсти и ему оставалось жить от 3-х недель до 2-х месяцев. Но удачная операция спасла его и теперь к своему желтому цвету он еще получил колоритный вид.

В последнее время Yellowman ударился в политику и его популярность заметно снизилась, но к этому времени он уже успел выпустить множество классных альбомов... будем считать что он на заслужинной пенсии.
